oceans next generation began in 2003 in Munich, Germany, with a simple yet powerful vision: to help organizations navigate the vast digital ocean safely and independently. What started as a European enterprise software company has evolved into a trusted digital sovereignty partner across Canada and Europe.
For over two decades, we’ve served the most demanding industries automotive giants in Germany, aerospace leaders, government agencies, healthcare systems, and cutting-edge research institutions. Founded in Munich
oceans GmbH was established in Munich, Germany, with a vision to help enterprises navigate complex business relationships and data management challenges. From day one, our focus was on privacy-first, enterprise-grade solutions.
Key Achievement: Developed our first Business Relationship Management (BRM) platform, setting the foundation for what would become our flagship CRM/BRM solution.
Enterprise Expansion
Rapid growth across critical industries. Major automotive manufacturers, aerospace companies, and government agencies chose oceans for their most sensitive data management needs. We learned that true enterprise success requires uncompromising security and privacy.
Milestone: Reached 400+ staff-years of development investment in our core platform, establishing industry-leading expertise in complex relationship management.
Cloud Awakening
As cloud computing exploded, location became the answer to every question. We began developing alternatives that answer the other two as well: who owns the infrastructure, and whose law applies.
Realization: residency is not sovereignty. True digital sovereignty required infrastructure of our own.
Canadian Ownership
oceans next generation acquired full ownership of oceans GmbH, transferred all intellectual property rights from oceans GmbH to Canada, and built a solid foundation for Canadian-owned solutions.

Infrastructure & cloud&more Birth
Massive investment in Canadian infrastructure. We built our own infrastructure, established partnerships with FiberCentre facilities, and co-founded cloud&more as our answer to the critical lack of independent Canadian cloud infrastructure. This wasn’t just business expansion it was a mission to provide true digital sovereignty for Canada and Europe.
Sovereign Independence: With cloud&more we built a cloud of our own, on hardware we own. No data mining, just secure, sovereign hosting built for Canadian and European needs.
Market Validation & Growth
The market validated our vision. Canadian businesses, government agencies, and international organizations began choosing cloud&more for mission-critical workloads. Our environmental approach reducing digital carbon footprint by 80-90% resonated with sustainability-conscious organizations.
